The Nyéléni Common Political Action Agenda (CPAA) was officially launched on 4th June, marking a significant milestone for the global movement advancing food sovereignty, agroecology, and climate justice. Developed during the 3rd Nyéléni Global Forum in Sri Lanka in September 2025, the CPAA provides a shared roadmap for collective action by social movements and civil society organisations worldwide.
SKI actively participated in the Nyéléni Global Forum which is a critical foundation for our and the global movement for farmer and human rights. SKI contributed to drafting the agenda and joined partners virtually from across the world in celebrating its official launch. Built around six strategic pillars including food sovereignty and agroecology, land and territories, and climate justice, the CPAA outlines practical strategies for grassroots mobilisation, political advocacy, popular education, and communication.
The agenda reaffirms agroecology as the foundation of food sovereignty and calls for stronger collaboration among grassroots movements. SKI’s allies and partners, including the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) and the Zimbabwe Smallholder Organic Farmers Forum (ZIMSOFF), played a key role in shaping this landmark global action agenda.
