SKI Adopts Its First Independent Strategy (2026–2030)

We are delighted to share that SKI has officially adopted its 2026–2030 Regional Strategy,  a major milestone in our collective journey. Over the past year, partners and the coordination team engaged in a thoughtful and energising strategic planning process to clarify our shared direction. Dedicated meetings were held to sharpen focus in key thematic areas: markets and enterprises, landscape-scale agroecology, and youth leadership, ensuring stronger integration and shared ambition across our work.

A vibrant regional workshop was held in November 2025,  where partners consolidated priorities and shaped a shared vision for the next five years. The draft strategy was circulated widely in December and January for input, strengthened through partner feedback, and formally approved by the SKI Board on 19 February 2026.

For the first time, SKI now has a comprehensive, partner-owned strategy that is not tied to a single funding proposal. It offers a confident, values-driven framework to guide movement-building, deepen coherence across countries, and support strategic fundraising efforts.

Gender equity, improved nutrition, and locally led climate change adaptation are embedded across all areas of work, reflecting SKI’s strong commitment to addressing these interconnected priorities. This simplified representation of the strategy highlights the mission, priorities, and key enablers shaping this exciting new chapter in SKI’s collective journey.
