Frances Davies is a prominent figure in agroecology and food sovereignty networks across Africa, renowned for her ability to connect and collaborate with diverse stakeholders ranging from smallholder farmers to policymakers and politicians. With a strong track record of organizing and facilitating strategic civil society convenings, Frances has played a pivotal role in advancing sustainable food systems and ecological justice in Zambia and Southern Africa.

Frances holds an MPhil in Sustainable Development, Planning and Management (cum laude) from Stellenbosch University, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Food Systems and an Honours Degree in Environmental Science. Her academic foundation underpins her ten years of experience in advocacy, research, and project management, focusing on building resilient and equitable food systems.
